Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Estimates are produced for the purpose of indicative costs only.  By the nature of some works carried out additional tasks may be identified that will attract new charges.  Authority will be sought before such works are carried out.  Such works may include, but are not limited to, repairs to plumbing before new installation; making good of flooring prior to laying new covering; making good of walls and/or ceilings prior to painting/papering; repairs to woodwork before painting, etc.
  2. Under Building Regulations Part P, no new electrical work will be carried out for those systems/areas identified as requiring Building Regulation approval.  If necessary, this will attract an additional charge for a Part P registered electrician.
  3. Where materials costs are identified in excess of £500, a minimum of 50% prepayment will be required.
  4. Materials purchased by CPHM on behalf of you will attract a 7% handling charge.
  5. Where materials are provided by you, the Customer, any delays in provision of same may result in a charge for waiting time.
  6. Accounts must be settled on completion of works, unless local terms have been agreed.
  7. Acceptable payment methods are cash, cheque, or Internet bank transfer.
  8. Please ensure that any estimate reflects all the works required – works requested after acceptance of this estimate will be treated as additional tasks as para. 1.
  9. Without prejudice to CPHM’s rights to enforce payment, if the Customer fails to make payment in accordance with para. 6, CPHM shall be entitled to charge interest on any balance outstanding from the date same became due for payment at the monthly rate of 4% above the base lending rate from time to time of Barclays Bank plc until payment is made, whether before or after any judgement.
  10. Title of goods shall not pass until full payment is received as cleared funds.
  11. Acceptance of any estimate is acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  12. Disposal of waste materials remains the responsibility of the Customer, unless prior arrangement has been made.  This will attract a disposal charge from BCC at the prevailing rate.
